The Paid Parental Leave policy provides eligible male and female employees with paid time off to care for a new child following birth, adoption, or placement of the child in foster care.
|How do I know if I’m eligible for this benefit?||If you are considered benefits eligible according to the company’s definition, and you have been employed with the company for at least one (1) consecutive year, you are eligible for Paid Parental Leave.|
|If I’m adopting a child that is over the age of 17, am I still eligible for this benefit?||No, all children that are being adopted or fostered, must be under the age of 17 for an employee to utilize this benefit.|
|Do I have to take all of Parental Leave time off at once?||No, you will be given two weeks of parental leave paid time off (in addition to your normal (PTO). There are only two limitations for use. 1) all paid time off must be used within one (1) year of the event. 2) the smallest increment that time can be used is a working day|
