Fitbit Challenge: a competitive team-based walking challenge revolved around using a Fitbit to track the steps employees walked each day. The cost of the Fitbit devices were subsidized, and employees earned cash rewards for reaching certain milestones.

Employee Engagement Competition: In order to get employees involved in shaping EPI’s wellness program, the entire company was called on to submit one or both of the following:
A mission statement defining what Wellness means for our company – Top 3 submissions received a $250 prize; winning statement became official wellness mission statement
An “EPEye on Wellness” newsletter branding logo to use on all wellness communications – Top 3 submissions received a $100 prize; winning logo became official newsletter logo
